Is it spring yet?

Oddly enough, I love winter, but for some reason the minute the calendar turned to February, I'm getting geared up for spring.

Spring does seem to come earlier here in the PNW. We've been here 3 winters so far and the first two seemed to 'break' at about the last week of February. The smell in the air suddenly changes and both me and the pooch stick our noses up to sniff the first green.

*sigh*

To cheer myself up and coax the sunshine back, we're having friends over this weekend for a Cuban theme dinner.

I'll post the menu later, since I have to go to work now.

There's a lot of people out there who would be thrilled with your old baby things. Try contacting a local shelter for domestic violence victims, or a local homeless shelter. They often have women in desperate need of baby items. Your family and friends might not appreciate them, but a poor mother with nothing will think they are treasures!
