Me Big

No baby yet and just when I thought I couldn't get any bigger......

I'm ENORMOUS. Small and some not-so-small objects are becoming trapped in my orbit. My 85lb dog is rotating around my body like my very own moon. I looked ridiculous waddling my way all over the supermarket yesterday. My underpants are the size of a circus tent. Boo and I still nap together on the rocker/recliner, but it's starting to get really crowded. Yesterday she slept draped over my humongous belly and said 'ow' in her sleep every time the one inside me kicked her in the tummy. One time, while still sound asleep, she slugged back. I'm glad to see that they are already relating to each other as siblings.

Nothing else. Excuse me while I go lose my mind.

This Week’s Coming Attractions…

Last night close to midnight I had a big bad awful contraction. For the next 6 hours I had contractions 20 minutes apart. They made me warm and nauseous and then petered out by 6:30AM. Rats.

Killing Time

Trying to think of something to do to get my mind off the waiting.

Not Very Talkative

I kinda have a one-track mind the past couple of days. I'm quite on edge and am wreaking havoc on everything in my path. I think it's best that I lay low for a little while.

No other news.

Turn and Face the Strange

While cruisin' both Robyn's and Michele's I came across an interesting little meme.

Maybe I’m Not Pregnant

...maybe I'm just really fat and have been having indigestion for nearly 10 months.

Magical Maccheroni

I have two passions: my husband and cooking/baking. My religion is caring for my family.

Last night I made dinner for all of us and my buddy Jennipoo. Feeling just too unwieldy to do much of anything I made what any Italian person would: maccheroni! This is my newly tweaked recipe and ideal when having to whip up lots of dinner fast. Also, can be adapted for the vegetarian diet.

Actions of Magical Practices

The following is a list of the basic actions used in the various magical practices. This list is a distillation of many specific practices and represents some basic concepts used in Italian (and certain other) practices.

I've placed an asterisk (*) beside the ones I'm more skilled at.

  • Being from an Italian dad and a french Canadian mother, I've seen alot at weddings. I'll agree I've seen some degrading things. I remember at my cousins wedding (french side), the men danced with the bride and pinned money to her dress but also the women danced with the groom and pinned money to his tux. Luckily my dad didn't want that at my wedding.

  • I have to admit the whole garter dealie doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me either. Neither does the table centrepiece giveaway... How many table-sized colour-coded custom vases can you possibly use?

“A philosopher once wrote you need three things to have a good life. One, a meaningful relationship, two, a decent job of work, and three, to make a difference. And it was always that third one that stressed me, to make a difference. And I realise that I do. Every day, we all do. It’s how we interact, with our fellow man.”
